Version 0.9 -- Now with sound!
As I outlined in my previous devlog post, I originally created this visual novel while under a strict deadline of just a month. I'm pretty pleased with what I was able to accomplish in the course of such a short time frame. There's always room for improvement of course, but I feel like I was able to cobble together something of acceptable quality.
Well... for the most part, at least. The one major failing is I just didn't have time to add sound or music to the original release. I think it's hard to argue that a video game/visual novel is in any way "complete" without sound, so it has been on my list for a long time as a patch I wanted to make. And so now, several months later, here it is!
Here's a list of changes:
- Added Music and Sound! (The big, major change)
- Made a few UI improvements found in the followup visual novel, such as adding a "click to continue" icon
- Increased the frequency of character expression changes that occur in between lines of dialogue
- Added a couple of extra character expressions, and tweaked a couple of graphics a bit, fixed a few minor spelling mistakes
This will probably be the last major update I'll make to this for the foreseeable future. There's still a million ways it could still be improved, but I'm content to call it done and devote my attention to new projects. So if you haven't downloaded before, now's the time! Thanks.
